Delicious Spaghetti Squash
How to oven bake spaghetti squash in 30 min. I love this little yellow squash!
Only a few simple ingredient are needed for this vegan dish .
This squash is so mild tasting that kids will also love it !
How to bake spaghetti squash like a pro!:) - its easy!
Preheat your oven to 450 F
-Buy a nice sized and fairly heavy spaghetti squash.
-Cut it in half lengthwise with a very sharp knife as these are tough shelled little guys:)
-Once you cut it in half scrape out the loose seeds and lightly oil the flesh with organic , extra virgin olive oil (EVOO:)
-I like to sprinkle with a bit of pink Himilayan salt and place a few sprigs of fresh organic oregano and thyme on the flesh before baking.
-Lay the cut side of the squash onto a parchment lined baking pan and put into the oven.
After 25 min poke the shell with a sharp knife to see if it is done. You will know its done when the tip pierces the shell easily...max 30 min.
Remove from the oven and let sit for a few min, then turn flesh side up.
You are now ready to use your fork and scrape the flesh from the shell...its shreds like little spaghetti noodles!
Scrape into a little bowl, onto a plate or put the whole 1/2 squash on a plate and eat the whole thing!
I do all the time....yum!
At this stage you can season any way you choose as this squash is very gentle on the palate and accepts many flavours as a compliment . I most times just put a little bit of coconut oil on and dig in but have enjoyed it with diced up fresh organic tomatoe and fresh basil mixed into the shredded noodles as well:) Your taste buds and imagination are the limit...and this is great in a lunch box day 2 eaten cold as well:) Happy eating!

Just follow all the original directions but add some chopped peppers/red/yellow cherry tomatoes and sprigs of
fresh basil, oregano , thyme . Put everything in the hollow squash , place the parchment on top holding everything in place and turn onto your baking sheet. Its easy;)
